Summer in Willerby
Some summer news
Thank you all for continuing to visit the village - we appreciate it.
Our community continues to grow and we get more visitors each week - thank you for spreading the word.
Keep doing it please.
Summer in Willerby is a quieter time. Everyone needs to rest.
Tomorrow we’re sending out our last orders of our book and will then be closing the Etsy shop until September on Friday.
In the run up to this, we’ve discounted the second and final printing of our first book, A Year in Willerby to £15, or £20 with the notes from John Macdebs cancelled lecture on Hugo of Willerby and his Natural History of Dragons.
Once we sell out of this run (around 50 of 100 are spoken for now), we won’t reprint this book, so this is the last chance to own a copy of the very first Willerby collection.
The book is locally printed, bound with original lino cut art and sent straight from the village via the nearest post office in Beckworth. Each copy is individually numbered and sent with a handwritten letter or postcard.
Reviews have been kind with this one from Kaye Ingliss particuarly lovely.
We ship anywhere in the world and probably beyond - we like a challenge.
Buying the book - if you are able - is a great way to support the village with our future plans.
And we have plenty of these - we’ll make sure you’re the first to know when we have something to share.
Over the summer we’ve at least two more stories to publish and our BlueSky account will be sporadically active.
Keep an eye out for the emails.
Once again thanks for visiting.
Warmest regards
The Villagers.
